根据下列材料,请回答下列各题: Questions 61 to 65 are based on the following passage. When i

t comes to video games and apps, whats a parent to do? On the one hand, were told about the harm of letting kids play with computer games and gadgets (小器具). On the other, were attracted by games and apps marketedtd us as "educational". Its a tricky line to follow. Kids apps range from "baking" cupcakes to crushing war demons (恶魔)Most of them have some educational aspect--at the very least kids learn what ingredients are used in cupcake baking, and the physics of launching Angry Birds at just the right angle to kill the piggies. Thats learning, isnt it? There lie the vague boundaries. Not all games are educational, and not all are shallow forms of entertainment. In fact, most have some elements of both. The trick is to figure out what we want kids to learn and to experience. To collect them all into one category is to miss out on a huge treasure trove (宝库)of learning opportunities. Real learnh apps have a set of criteria that qualifies them as educational, sorather than writing them all off as a waste of time, parents can figure out what their kids are exposed to."We dont ever want to separate engagement from the purposes of learning," said Daniel Edelson, Executive Director and Vice President of Educa on and Childrens Programs at the National Geographic Society at a cyber-learning conference last week. "When youre engaged with activities that have learning goals, you can connect the dots between engagement and learning. If you use engagement in its broadest possible sense when people are paying attention because of bright lights and activity, then you dont find that connection. " So should parents feel guilty allowing their kids to play games on mobile devices? "No," says Dr. Michael Levine of the Joan Ganz Cooney Center, which recently released a study called Learning : Is There an App For That. "Kids see their parents using mobile phones all the time. Its only natural for them to want to use them too. And from the data in our study it looks like, many parents are letting their children use them responsibly--with restrictions and in moderation. " What can be inferred from the first paragraph?

A.Parents feel confused when choosing video games and apps for children.

B.Parents should prevent children from playing video games and apps.

C.Parents are told about the harm of different computer games and gadgets.

D.Parents are suggested to expose children to educational gantes and apps.

第1题

根据下列材料,请回答下列各题: Questions 61 to 65 are based on the following passage. Recent
ly the Barbican museum in London held an exhibition called the Rain Room. During the time this exhibition was open, my Twitter stream was filled with photos of people standing in the Rain Room, accompanied by the caption(标题) “Rain Room @ The Barbican!” and a location attachment to prove that they were indeed in the Rain Room. This got me thinking. What were people actually saying by Tweeting about their visit? I think all they were doing was meeting the obligation that we have to share. Not sharing in the sense of treasuring a moment with people close to us, but sharing in the sense of "notify the world that I am doing a thing". Its not sharing; its showing off. When we log in to Facebook or Twitter we see an infinitely updating tream of people enjoying themselves. Its not real life, because people only post about the good things whereas all the dull or deep stuff doesnt get mentioned. But despite this obvious fact, it subconsciously makes us feel like everyone is having a better time than us. This is the curse of our age. We walk around with the tools to capture extensive data about our surroundings and transmit them in real-time to every acquaintance weve made. We end "up with adimin is hed perception of reality because were more concerned about choosing a good Instagram filter for our meal than how it tastes. I dont that that its inherently wrong to want to keep the world updated about what youre doing. But when you go through life robotically posting about everything you do, youre not a human being. Youre just a prism(棱镜) that takes bits of light and sound and channels them into the Cloud. The key thing to remember is that you are not enriching your experiences by sharing them online; youre detracting (转移) from them because all your efforts are focused on making them look attractive too they people. Once you stop seeing things through the eyes of the people following you on Twitter or Facebook or instagram, you can make your experiences significant, because you were there and you saw the sights and smelled the smells and heard the sounds, not because, you snapped a photo of it through a half-inch camera lens. What do we learn from the first two paragraphs?

A.Rain Room exhibition received a large audience in London.

B.Most of people feel obligated to share their experience with Mends.

C.Many people want to notify others of their experience by Tweeting.

D.All people having gone to the Rain Room took pictures.

第4题

根据以下材料,回答下列各题: Directions: There are 2 passages in this section. Each passage
is followed by some questions or unfinished statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A, B, Cand D You should decide on the best choice and mark the corresponding letter on Answer Sheet 2 with a single line through the centre. Passage One Questions 57 to 61 are based on the following passage. Let children learn to judge their own work. A child learning to talk does not learn by being corrected all the time: if corrected too much, he will stop talking. He notices a thousand times a day the difference between the language he uses and the language those around him use. Bit by bit, he makes the necessary changes to make his language like other peoples. In the same way, when children learn to do all the other things they learn to do without being taught to walk, run, climb; whistle, ride a bicycle--compare those performances with those of more skilled people, and slowly make the needed changes. But in school we never give a child a chance to find out his own mistakes for himself, let alone correct them. We do it all for him. We act as if we thought that he would never notice a mistake unless it was pointed out to him, or correct it unless he was made to. Soon he becomes dependent on the teacher. Let him do it himself. Let him work out; with the help of other children if he wants it, what this word says, what answer is to that problem, whether this is a good way of saying or doing this or not. If it is a matter of right answers, as it may be in mathematics or science, give him the answer book. Let him correct his own papers. Why should we teachers waste time on such routine work? Our job should be to help the child when he tells us that he cant find the way to get the right answer. Lets end this nonsense of grades, exams, marks. Let us throw them all out. and let the children learn what all educated persons must someday learn, how to measure their own understanding, how to know what they know or do not know. Let them get on with this job in the way that seems most sensible to them with our help as school teachers if they ask for it. The idea that there is a body of knowledge to be learnt at school and used for the rest of ones life is nonsense in a world as complicated and rapidly changing as ours. Anxious parents and teachers say, "But suppose they fail to learn something essential, something they will need to get in the world?" Dont worry! If it is essential, they will go out into the world and learn it. What does the author think is the best way for children to learn things?

A.By imitating what other people do.

B.By making mistakes and having them corrected.

C.By listening to explanations from skilled people.

D.By asking a great many questions.
